What Does a Part-Time Sanctions Compliance Analyst Do?

As a key contributor to FAB's Sanctions Compliance Monitoring team, you will perform first-level investigations on payment screening alerts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and international regulations. You will be part of a fast-paced, structured compliance environment and contribute to improving monitoring accuracy and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review and investigate payment alerts in the sanctions screening system
  2. Document rationale for clearing alerts and escalate issues where needed
  3. Retrieve and analyze information from internal and external databases
  4. Conduct enhanced due diligence when required
  5. Ensure proper recordkeeping aligned with compliance regulations
  6. Assist with implementing updates based on audit and compliance findings
  7. Recommend process improvements and support optimization of monitoring parameters
Job Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, banking, business, or a related field
  2. Certifications: Compliance, AML, or sanctions certifications preferred
  3. Experience: Minimum 1 year in a banking or compliance-related role
  4. Skills:
  • Basic understanding of sanctions regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze data effectively
  • Familiarity with payment systems and compliance screening tools
