Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks a skilled regulatory professional to review mergers and other concentration transactions for market impact. You will support investigations into anti-competitive practices and prepare legal and regulatory analyses to inform enforcement decisions.

Responsibilities include data collection and interpretation, preparation of reports, and coordination with government authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law, economics, competition law, regulatory affairs, public policy or related discipline.
• Relevant professional experience in competition law, economic regulation, or regulatory investigations.
• Knowledge of national and international competition legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in legal or regulatory research, market studies, or analytical reporting.

• Review mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other concentration transactions for competitive impact.
• Support investigations into anti-competitive practices, restrictive agreements and abuse of dominant positions.
• Conduct legal, economic and market analyses to support regulatory assessments.
• Prepare investigation reports, memoranda and regulatory recommendations.
• Conduct market studies and sectoral assessments to identify competition concerns.
• Collect, analyze and interpret data to support evidence-based decisions.
• Develop competition guidelines, policy papers and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate with government entities, regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders.
• Contribute to awareness programs, workshops and initiatives promoting fair competition.
• Participate in technical meetings and stakeholder consultations as required.
• Manage multiple case files while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and deadlines.
• Provide research, analytical and operational support for activities within the Competition Department.

• Conduct legal economic and market analyses to support regulatory assessments and enforcement decisions
• Prepare investigation reports legal memoranda technical documentation and regulatory recommendations
• Conduct market studies and sectoral assessments to identify competition concerns market structures and potential risks
• Collect analyze and interpret economic commercial and sector-specific data to support evidence-based decision-making
• Develop competition guidelines policy papers analytical reports and regulatory documentation
• Coordinate with relevant government entities regulatory authorities and industry stakeholders on competition-related matters
• Contribute to awareness programs workshops and initiatives promoting fair competition and competitive market practices
• Participate in technical meetings stakeholder consultations and regulatory workshops as required
• Manage multiple case files and assignments while maintaining accuracy confidentiality and compliance with deadlines
• Provide research analytical and operational support for other activities within the Competition Department
