Commissioning & Start-up Mechanical / Rotating Lead
Location: Home Office
- Coordinate technical issues resolution.
- Retain Completions Technical Lead on all engineering-related issues.
- Interface with PE & PMT for major commercial & project management decisions.
- Manage engineering, quality, construction (MC), and procurement interfaces.
- Monitor design and fabrication progress of process equipment packages.
- Participate in development of the TCPs.
- Participate in performance tests for major equipment.
- Interface with subcontractors' project management to address critical commercial and technical issues, including quality components, specification deviations, and inspection reports.
- Provide engineering technical support for planning of mechanical completion and commissioning activities at vendor shops, fabrication yards, and site.
- Review and approve DCNs & FCRs.
- Assist in defining testing criteria for FATs to ensure compliance with international standards and proper documentation.
- Lead development of site performance test procedures and criteria.
- Contribute to project systems completion scheduling and workshops.
- Generate detailed commissioning procedures for systems during design.
- Procure commissioning and start-up spares, first-fills, tools, and equipment to ensure timely availability.
- Develop vendor support plans for system completions.

- Oversee fabrication, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities.
- Interface with discipline system owners to ensure focus on system completion.
- Ensure quality and integrity of system issues, including change management and schedule adherence.
- Coordinate with construction to allocate mechanical completion inspection sheets.
- Ensure compliance with commissioning procedures.
- Conduct system walkdowns with multidisciplinary attendance.
- Support preservation activities and monitor compliance.
- Manage vendor attendance plans for site activities.
Profile
Ideally, you will have graduated in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, including at least eight years on-site managing installation, pre-commissioning, changeover, and commissioning of brownfield and greenfield projects in oil and gas.
Offshore experience is mandatory.
You should have good interpersonal and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, be dynamic, proactive, organized, and detail-oriented.
Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.
