Job Title : Commissioning Offshore System Operator

Location : South Korea onshore

JOB DESCRIPTION AND REQUIREMENTS

Mission

• Ensure safe commissioning, start-up, and maintenance execution of Instrumentation and Control Systems, compliant with HSE rules, legislative regulations, and international standards.
• Promote leadership in safety attitudes.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and support to team members regarding technical and individual performance.
• Support the closing of competency gaps for all team members.
• Act as the Cyber Security Officer (CySO) in line with IMO maritime instruments, where applicable, as per Organization Chart.

Tasks

Commissioning and Start-Up Execution

• Ensure all activities are done in full compliance with HSE requirements.
• Verify safety measures in the PTW system related to your job role, including area preparation and restoration.
• Identify and control hazards to prevent damage to equipment, personnel, and the environment.
• Execute tests and inspections on Control Systems according to project documentation, with technicians and vendors.
• Log test results into approved forms and reports.

Maintenance Execution

• Carry out services in compliance with current HSE rules.
• Plan preventive and corrective maintenance operations.
• Coordinate contractor personnel for smooth execution of services.
• Plan and request logistical support for maintenance activities.
• Participate in site coordination meetings.
• Prepare maintenance reports for submission.
• Manage spare parts movement according to maintenance requirements.
• Validate technical reports in CMMS and ensure comprehensive work history recording.
• Report on maintenance progress and encountered difficulties.
• Ensure contractor personnel complete and record all handovers.

Technical Support / Methods

• Ensure the appropriateness of operating and maintenance procedures, suggesting improvements if needed.
• Coordinate between maintenance operations and preparation teams.
• Maintain an up-to-date list of work that requires inspections or shutdowns.
• Keep records of modification and improvement requests.
• Suggest corrective measures for unmanageable maintenance backlogs.
• Anticipate potential problems in the production plant and coordinate with other sections to prevent non-productive operations.
• Act as the focal point for cybersecurity matters.
• Ensure compliance with the company's cybersecurity model and standards, where applicable.

Team Management

• Organize rotation schedules for your teams.
• Identify training needs and request training as appropriate.
• Propose adjustments related to the nationalization plan.
• Conduct appraisals and assess competencies of staff.
• Set expectations, coach, and mentor technicians regarding attitudes and behaviors.
• Demonstrate safety commitment through language, behavior, and actions.
• Ensure team compliance with safety regulations and take corrective measures when needed.
• Monitor performance through regular observations and assessments.
• Act as the focal point for cybersecurity matters.
