Job summary

A leading engineering staffing provider is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Utility Engineer for a one-year extendable contract in Dubai. The role requires substantial experience in the oil and gas sector, particularly with FPSOs, as well as strong technical and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project execution and commissioning, especially in Middle Eastern environments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in operation, project execution, and commissioning.
  • Experience in the FPSO sector and proficiency in systems associated with Middle Eastern projects.
  • Previous work on UK North Sea projects and leadership in multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Execute mechanical commissioning activities for FPSO.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.

Position: Mechanical Commissioning Utility Engineer (Commissioning)


Location: Dubai, UAE


Contract: 1 year extendable


Qualifications and Experience
  • Technical education at Bachelor’s level or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in operation, project execution, and commissioning
  • Previous experience from the Knarr Project for Mechanical and Utility systems is a major advantage
  • Operating experience both from the Norwegian continental shelf and international projects is highly desirable
  • Experience in Middle Eastern / Southeast Asian shipyards is a significant advantage
  • Experience with FPSO redeployment is strongly preferred
  • Recent experience in a similar role on UK North Sea projects is advantageous
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills applied to a multidisciplinary project team
  • Organized, systematic, and flexible approach
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
