Job summary

TotalEnergies is seeking a seasoned professional for project oversight in a major Solar Power Plant project in the UAE. The role includes supervising construction and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and leveraging significant experience in utility-scale PV projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong engineering background and a proven track record in managing large-scale projects exceeding $100 million.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and commissioning.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience with projects valued at over $100 million.

Responsibilities

  • Organizes the integrated site team to supervise the contractor's commissioning progress.
  • Monitors the EPC contractor's work across each discipline for timely delivery.
  • Provides input for monthly progress reports and checks contractor invoices.

Job description

TEEP Ratawi Hub is a new TotalEnergies company overseeing 4-in-1 project : Common Seawater Supply Project (CSSP), Gas Mid-stream Project (GMP), Associated Gas Upstream Project (AGUP), 1000MW Solar Power Plant (SPP). The projects are in various stages of development. The Solar Power Plant project includes the power plant itself for power generation made of 4 units each at 250MW and 4 overhead transmission lines and a remote substation. High level of autonomy and ability to manage HSE in remote locations will be required.

  • Organizes the integrated site team in order to supervise the EPC Contractor's commissioning progress until COD (i.e., checking and implementing commissioning procedures inspection witnessing, clearing punch list items, issuingcommissioningcertificates, turnover packages readiness, etc).
  • Provides input into the weekly site meetings, progress and / or discipline technical meetings with EPC Contractor.
  • Monitors and checks the EPC Contractors' work across each discipline to ensure the timely delivery of the works.
  • Confirms and provides the PD with the inputs for the monthly progress reports, relevant information to check EPC Contractor invoices.

Experience and qualifications required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction and commissioning of utility scale PV IPP.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • EPC / Developer background and experience.
  • Experience with projects valued at over $100 million.
  • A minimum of 3 projects commissioned
  • Experience on testing and commissioning of PV arrays, PV trackers, String Inverters, MV Transformer stations, 33kV and 132 kV Substation components.
  • Knowledgeable of Grid Code, Safety procedures notification, Grid Compliance Test and PV Plant performance tests.
  • Knowledgeable of international standards and 'best practices' for testing and commissioning of various elements of the PV Power Plant.
  • Knowledgeable of environmental legislation / regulations and good industry practice related to construction works.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint or similar.
  • Development of Plant Manuals, switching procedures and programs, safety procedures and O&M Manuals.
