Join Bezhy Cake Cafe as a Commis Pastry Chef

Bezhy Cake Cafe is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Commis Pastry Chef to assist our Cake Chef with the daily preparation and production of cakes, pastries and desserts.

This is a hands‑on supporting role for someone with a good foundation in baking, attention to detail and a genuine interest in developing their pastry skills. You will work under the guidance of our Cake Chef, helping us deliver consistent quality, attractive presentation and carefully prepared customer orders.

Employment type: Full‑time, on‑site

Reporting to: Cake Chef / Pastry Chef

Key responsibilities

• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately, organise daily preparation, and make batters, doughs, creams, fillings and frostings under supervision.
• Support cake assembly and finishing, including layering, filling, basic piping, fruit preparation and simple decorations.
• Help maintain consistent product quality, portion sizes and presentation, and assist with the careful packing and preparation of customer orders.
• Follow food‑safety procedures for ingredient handling, allergen control, storage, chilling, labelling and stock rotation. Report shortages and help minimise waste.
• Keep the pastry workstation, utensils and equipment clean and sanitised, use equipment safely, and support the chef in completing daily production on time.

Salary and employment terms

Total monthly salary package: AED 3,000–4,000, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated practical skills.

Visa: Company‑provided employment visa and work permit.

Accommodation and transportation: Not provided. The successful candidate must arrange their own accommodation and daily travel to and from the workplace.

Shift duration: 9 hours per shift, including a 1‑hour break — equivalent to 8 working hours. Exact shift timings and the weekly roster will be discussed during the interview.
