Job summary

Apt Resources is assisting a Dubai-based, well-established restaurant group to hire a Commis III for new outlets. You will report to the Executive Head Chef via Sous Chef/CDP/DCDP and contribute to cooking, stock control and kitchen hygiene.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of culinary experience, strong English communication, and a recognized culinary certificate. This role emphasizes quality, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Professional culinary experience over 1 year.
• Experience as Commis III or kitchen trainee, preferably in fine dining.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, fluent English).
• Culinary certificate from a recognized institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve food to a high standard under supervision.
• Monitor stock movement and assist in ordering for your section.
• Maintain hygiene, labeling, dating and storage procedures.
• Assist with price control, kitchen costs and overall objectives.
• Follow opening/closing kitchen procedures and cleanliness routines.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Support other sections during short-staff periods and emergencies.
