Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
  2. Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
  3. Thaw food from freezer storage in the refrigerator.
  4. Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of food.
  5. Maintain accurate food logs.
  6. Monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
  7. Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
  8. Inform the Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials.
  9. Notify Food & Beverage staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.
  10. Ensure the quality of food items.
  11. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, standards, and checklists.
  12. Prepare cold foods.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees; serve as a role model.
  2. Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
  3. Complete safety training and certifications.
  4. Maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information.
  5. Protect company assets.
  6. Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  7. Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
  8. Develop and maintain positive work relationships; support team goals; respond to employee concerns.
  9. Adhere to quality standards and expectations.
  10. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; perform physical activities such as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  11. Lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  12. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
  • At least 3 years of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No license or certification necessary.
