Summary

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Thai dishes under the supervision of senior chefs
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and portion standards
  • Support the mise en place process for Thai cuisine including chopping, marinating, and blending spices
  • Follow proper food storage procedures, especially for Thai herbs and perishable ingredients
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen stock and supplies
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation during and after service

Qualifications

  • Formal culinary education or diploma from a recognized institution, with specialization in Thai or Asian cuisine preferred
  • Minimum 1 2 years of experience in a 5-star hotel or fine dining environment specializing in Thai cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of premium Thai ingredients, presentation standards, and luxury kitchen operations
