Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Thai dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Ensure all food items are prepared according to recipes and portion standards.
- Support the mise en place process for Thai cuisine, including chopping, marinating, and blending spices.
- Follow proper food storage procedures, especially for Thai herbs and perishable ingredients.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen stock and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation during and after service.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Formal culinary education or diploma from a recognized institution, with specialization in Thai or Asian cuisine preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a 5-star hotel or fine dining environment specializing in Thai cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of premium Thai ingredients, presentation standards, and luxury kitchen operations.
