We are seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef specializing in Mexican cuisine to join our culinary team. You will assist in the preparation and presentation of traditional and modern Mexican dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of authentic Mexican dishes such as tacos, enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas, and salsas.
Follow recipes and presentation standards set by the Head Chef.
Prepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and making sauces.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation and kitchen equipment.
Support the kitchen team with daily operations and mise en place.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.
Assist in receiving, labeling, and storing food supplies properly.
Collaborate with senior chefs to learn new cooking techniques and improve skills.
Requirements:
Proven experience or training in a professional kitchen, preferably in Mexican or Latin American cuisine.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong team player with good communication skills.
