Job summary

Dusit hotel in Abu Dhabi is seeking a committed commis chef to learn a wide range of kitchen skills and support our kitchen brigade. You will perform basic food preparation, assist with presenting dishes, and help maintain a clean, hygienic work area.

Under supervision, you will assist senior chefs, handle buffet fillings, participate in pre- and post-meal briefings, and contribute to a high standard of guest experience while adhering to hotel policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in cooking and presentation of food.
• Food sanitization knowledge is a must.
• Ability to communicate basic English.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform basic tasks of food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare appetizers, meat and vegetables for entrees, and assist with presentation.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic and tidy work area at all times.
• Assist Chef de Partie and Demi Chef de Partie to prepare A La Carte orders.
• Refill buffet tables and keep them attractive during operating hours.
• Assist senior chefs in opening/closing outlets and food storing.
