As we expand into Ras Al Khaimah with a new project, we are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chefs to join our opening team and learn, grow, and contribute to delivering high-quality cuisine.

Role Purpose

The Commis Chef will assist the Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, preparing ingredients, and supporting the cooking process. This role is based in Ras Al Khaimah and is ideal for individuals seeking to build a career in professional culinary arts.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking Support
  • Assist in the preparation and basic cooking of ingredients for your assigned kitchen section.
  • Ensure ingredients are prepared to the standards required for each dish.
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines under supervision.
Operational Duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation and equipment.
  • Support the Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie in daily service preparation.
  • Assist with inventory management and monitor stock levels.
  • Follow kitchen procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Standards & Compliance
  • Maintain hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Adhere to RIKAS Group’s kitchen SOPs, health, and safety regulations.
  • Uphold grooming, professional behavior, and teamwork standards.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Commis Chef or kitchen assistant in a premium or fine-dining restaurant preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Passion for food and eagerness to learn from senior chefs.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Must be available to join immediately in Ras Al Khaimah.
