Job summary

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort invites a skilled bakery team member to join our luxury hotel kitchen. You will assist in mise-en-place, prepare daily bakery items, and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and presentation for outlets and events.

Ideal candidates bring experience from hotels, restaurants, or professional bakeries, with knowledge of bread, pastries, dough, and food safety (HACCP). Strong teamwork and ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel, restaurant, or professional bakery is an advantage.
• Knowledge of bread, rolls, cakes, cookies, pastries, and basic desserts.
• Ability to measure ingredients accurately and follow standard recipes.
• Basic knowledge of dough preparation, mixing, proofing, and baking.
• Operate ovens, mixers, and bakery equipment safely.
• Knowledge of portion control, product presentation, and storage procedures.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.
• Correct food labeling, date marking, temperature control, and FIFO stock rotation.

• To assist in the preparation & service of food, prepare mis-en-place for the outlets as required.
• Adhere to food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests. Continually look to recommend improvements and additions to the Minor Hotels presentation guidelines.
• To keep all working areas clean and tidy to maintain hygienic surroundings.
• Maintain food safety & protection. All food in working areas should be in compliance with food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, rotation, etc. Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
• Taking responsibility for looking after all hotel property and facilities.
• Participating in departmental training to improve departmental skills and hotel service levels.
• Maintaining and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules
• Assisting at events, banquets and other functions as required
• Adhering to all personal hygiene and grooming standards, fire safety rules and health & safety rules.
• Performing related duties and special projects as assigned.
