Job Overview:
The Commercial Senior Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by leading the commercialisation and sales efforts across the multi-sports venues. This role will develop and implement strategic commercial initiatives to maximise market penetration, customer acquisition, and profitability.
This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong track record in sales, revenue generation, and business development within the sports, entertainment, or venue management industries.
Job Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to maximise revenue across all venues, including ticketing, memberships, sponsorships, hospitality, and retail.
- Identify and execute new revenue streams such as corporate partnerships, licensing, premium experiences, and digital engagement opportunities.
- Drive B2B, B2G, and B2C sales initiatives, leveraging market trends and competitive insights to enhance profitability.
- Work closely with operations, events, and marketing teams to ensure commercial initiatives align with venue capabilities and audience demand.
Sponsorships & Corporate Partnerships
- Develop and manage high-value sponsorship deals and brand partnerships, ensuring alignment with the venue’s brand and objectives.
- Build long-term relationships with corporate sponsors, government entities, and strategic partners to enhance revenue opportunities.
- Oversee the negotiation and activation of sponsorship agreements, ensuring contractual deliverables and ROI for partners.
- Leverage the venue’s visibility and audience engagement to create compelling commercial packages for potential sponsors.
Event Commercialisation
- Collaborate with event organisers, promoters, and governing bodies to maximise revenue from hosted sports events, concerts, and exhibitions.
- Oversee the development of premium hospitality experiences, VIP offerings, and corporate suites to drive high-value client engagement.
- Work closely with food & beverage, retail, and venue management teams to enhance customer experience and drive incremental revenue.
Budgeting, Analytics & Performance Management
- Develop and manage the commercial budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies that maximise profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as ticket sales, sponsorship ROI, customer engagement metrics, and financial performance.
Revenue Optimisation & Data-Driven Decision-Making
- Develop pricing strategies that maximise profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
- Continuously analyse sales performance, customer behaviour, and pricing elasticity to refine commercial strategies.
Business Development & Product Oversight
- Oversee the development and enhancement of commercial products and service offerings, ensuring alignment with market trends, customer needs, and strategic objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach and revenue streams.
- Negotiate commercial agreements to enhance product distribution and sales channels.

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- At least 7 years’ experience in commercial and marketing, with a focus on events and entertainment companies/clients.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
