Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil/construction closely related fields.
  • 5–10 years in quantity surveying, commercial management, or contract administration.
  • Strong post-contract experience mandatory with IPA, valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • FIDIC or major contract knowledge; ability to read BOQs and contract docs.
  • Proficient in Excel, QS software, and commercial trackers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor Interim Payment Applications (IPA) and Interim Payment Certificates (IPC).
  • Prepare accurate monthly valuations based on measured and verified progress.
  • Prepare variation orders, claims, change orders and cost build-ups.
  • Maintain variation registers, claims registers and commercial trackers.
  • Review subcontractor payments, cost reports and CVR analyses.
  • Coordinate with site teams to obtain progress quantities and documentation.
  • Monitor costs, forecasts, and project profitability; assist close-out.

Manage all strong post-contract commercial and quantity surveying activities strong from contract award to final account Review and understand strong main contracts subcontracts BOQs specifications drawings scope of work contract conditions commercial terms and payment provisions strong Establish and maintain comprehensive strong commercial and contractual control systems strong for assigned projects Prepare submit monitor and follow up strong Interim Payment Applications IPA strong and strong Interim Payment Certificates IPC strong Prepare accurate strong monthly valuations strong based on measured and verified progress Coordinate with Project Site Planning QA QC and Construction Teams to obtain accurate strong progress quantities and supporting documentation strong Verify strong strong Prepare strong Subcontractor Payment Certificates strong and commercial recommendations Manage subcontractor strong commercial negotiations back charges contra charges retention deductions and performance Monitor strong revenue cost margin forecast margin WIP accruals and project profitability strong where applicable Assist management in identifying strong cost-saving opportunities commercial risks margin erosion and potential recoveries strong Review and assess strong rates unit rates productivity rates labour costs material costs plant costs subcontractor rates and overheads strong Prepare detailed strong rate analysis and cost build-ups strong for variations and claims Reconcile strong BOQ quantities contract quantities approved variations executed quantities certified quantities and final quantities strong Prepare strong BOQ reconciliation and quantity reconciliation reports strong Review drawings and specifications to identify strong scope changes quantity discrepancies omissions and additional works strong Coordinate with Engineering and Technical Teams regarding strong drawing revisions design changes technical clarifications RFIs and revised quantities strong Review strong IFC drawings shop drawings fabrication drawings architectural drawings specifications BOQs and contract documents strong Prepare strong quantity take-offs strong for structural steel aluminium facade cladding PEB metal works fit-out and other construction activities Track strong material procurement material delivery fabrication progress site installation and completed quantities strong where relevant to commercial valuation Attend strong commercial meetings progress meetings variation meetings claims meetings subcontractor meetings and client negotiations strong Prepare commercial presentations and reports for strong Project Managers Commercial Managers Contracts Managers and Senior Management strong Ensure all commercial submissions are supported by appropriate strong measurements drawings photographs site records approvals correspondence delivery documents and contractual references strong Maintain proper strong commercial documentation audit trails contractual records payment records and project correspondence strong Assist with strong project close-out final measurement final account final payment application release of retention and Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.5–10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Contract Administration.Strong post-contract experience is mandatory.Proven experience handling IPA, valuations, variations, claims, subcontractor payments, cost control, commercial reporting, and final accounts.Strong experience in variation evaluation, rate analysis, commercial negotiation, and contractual entitlement.Experience preparing and negotiating claims, EOT, delay/disruption claims, prolongation costs, and loss & expense is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of FIDIC or other major construction contract forms.Experience with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and suppliers.Strong ability to read and interpret BOQs, IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, contract documents, and project correspondence.Strong knowledge of Excel, quantity measurement, commercial trackers, cost reports, and QS software.Experience with structural steel, fabrication, erection, aluminium, façade, PEB, metal works, or construction projects will be an advantage.
