A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Commercial Project Manager at Siemens Energy, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our commercial projects. This outstanding opportunity allows you to support the Tendering team in preparing and submitting customer offers and bids, while also leading commercial and contractual discussions. Your day will be multifaceted, filled with engaging and coordinating with various functions, following processes, using digital platforms, and ensuring compliance with both regulations.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead commercial activities for budgetary and firm offers in close collaboration with the Bidding and Sales teams, critically analyzing tender requirements. Define appropriate business models considering regulations and bid strategy, actively participating in bid preparation and pricing.
  • Prepare, communicate, and secure bid approvals in line with company guidelines alongside the Bidding Manager. Engage in customer negotiations on Terms and Conditions, taking ownership of the commercial aspects.
  • Complete projects as the Commercial Counterpart to the Project Manager, following policies, procedures, and guidelines. Handle project accounting, cost control, and forecasting of revenues, margins, and cash flow, closely supervising project cost development.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS 15 for revenue recognition and achieving breakthroughs in billing, maintaining audit-proof commercial documentation.
  • Support Project Managers in negotiating variation orders and suppliers’ claims. Handle foreign currency risks in projects following currency guidelines and handle relevant procurement and logistics aspects.
  • Verify and process suppliers' invoices and payments, handle project guarantees, bonds, LCs, and insurances. Innovate for cost efficiencies, process improvements, and drive digitalization initiatives.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance or project accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SAP finance and project modules.
  • Strong commercial competence and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent presentation and English interpersonal skills
