Job description

Our client is one of the largest consultancies operating in the United Arab Emirates.

They are currently looking to hire a highly experienced Commercial Manager to take the commercial lead on major projects in Dubai.

Duties will include:

1. Effectively managing the resources of the project lifecycle to ensure successful project outcomes and maximize profit.
2. Providing planning, support, and monitoring of commercial activities to the Project Managers and the project delivery team.
3. Identifying, managing, reducing, and eliminating unnecessary costs and inefficiencies.
4. Maximizing cash flow through timely preparation of valuations, invoice submissions, and receipt of payments.
5. Maintaining a high level of understanding of planning and programming to ensure accurate progress reporting.
6. Collaborating with the supply chain to promote and measure continuous improvement in cost, quality, and learning for all parties involved.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial contracts or holding a key management position.
• At least 5 years of Middle East experience.
• MRICS qualification.
• Strong interpersonal, initiative, analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract activities, including procurement.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to perform marketing aspects related to Facility Management.
• Good presentation skills.
• Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
