Job Description
AECOM are looking for an experienced Commercial/Contract Manager to join a project based in Ras Al Khaimah.
Responsibilities
- Leading client engagement on the project.
- Evaluate claims submitted by the Contractor, which would include a review of notices served in accordance with the Contract and an evaluation of the commercial element of the Contractor's claim.
- The assessment of programme, scope of work change and its effect upon extension of time is expected to be undertaken by the professional team.
- Carrying out post contract commercial administration.
- Advise the professional team and the Employer on all Contractual and Commercial issues.
- Accountable for briefing the team on project scopes to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood. Monitors and manages the performance of direct reports.
- Responsible timely cash collection in compliance with contract terms.
- Responsible for ensuring that any additional work/changes in scope are approved by clients.
- Proven ability to be direct liaison with the Client project team.
- Reviews the contracts and commercial reports.
- Assist the Employer in the settlement of disputes or differences, which may arise between the employer and the Contractor, to attempt to resolve claims without resorting to arbitration or litigation.
- Represents the clients/AECOM in dispute resolutions/arbitration procedures.
- This role will be a 2-3 years full time and the working hours are 48 hours / 6 days a week.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- Over 10 years' relevant experience in large residential / buildings in the UAE.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, Law and/or Engineering (or similar) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or University. MRICS, MCIARB or equivalent accreditation preferred
