Job Description

AECOM are looking for an experienced Commercial/Contract Manager to join a project based in Ras Al Khaimah.

Responsibilities

1. Leading client engagement on the project.
2. Evaluate claims submitted by the Contractor, which would include a review of notices served in accordance with the Contract and an evaluation of the commercial element of the Contractor's claim.
3. The assessment of programme, scope of work change and its effect upon extension of time is expected to be undertaken by the professional team.
4. Carrying out post contract commercial administration.
5. Advise the professional team and the Employer on all Contractual and Commercial issues.
6. Accountable for briefing the team on project scopes to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood. Monitors and manages the performance of direct reports.
7. Responsible timely cash collection in compliance with contract terms.
8. Responsible for ensuring that any additional work/changes in scope are approved by clients.
9. Proven ability to be direct liaison with the Client project team.
10. Reviews the contracts and commercial reports.
11. Assist the Employer in the settlement of disputes or differences, which may arise between the employer and the Contractor, to attempt to resolve claims without resorting to arbitration or litigation.
12. Represents the clients/AECOM in dispute resolutions/arbitration procedures.
13. This role will be a 2-3 years full time and the working hours are 48 hours / 6 days a week.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Degree qualified or equivalent
2. Over 10 years' relevant experience in large residential / buildings in the UAE.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, Law and/or Engineering (or similar) from an accredited, internationally recognized institution or University. MRICS, MCIARB or equivalent accreditation preferred
