AECOM is seeking an experienced Commercial/Contract Manager to join a project in Ras Al Khaimah.
Responsibilities
- Lead client engagement on the project.
- Evaluate claims submitted by the Contractor, including reviewing notices served in accordance with the Contract and assessing the commercial aspects of the Contractor's claim.
- Assess programme scope of work changes and their impact on extensions of time, undertaken by the professional team.
- Manage post-contract commercial administration.
- Advise the professional team and the Employer on all contractual and commercial issues.
- Brief the team on project scopes to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood; monitor and manage the performance of direct reports.
- Ensure timely cash collection in compliance with contract terms.
- Confirm that any additional work or scope changes are approved by clients.
- Maintain direct liaison with the Client project team.
- Review contracts and commercial reports.
- Assist the Employer in resolving disputes or differences with the Contractor, aiming to resolve claims without arbitration or litigation.
- Represent the client/AECOM in dispute resolutions or arbitration procedures.
- This role is full-time for 23 years, with working hours of 48 hours/week over 6 days.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in large residential/building projects in the UAE.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering, or similar from an accredited international institution or university. MRICS, MCIARB, or equivalent accreditation preferred.
