Job description

Hill International is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction and consultancy services with a proven ability to manage commercial aspects of largescale development projects effectively.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the commercial management of projects ensuring compliance with contracts and financial objectives.
  2. Oversee cost control, procurement, contract administration, and risk management.
  3. Manage claims, variations, and dispute resolution in collaboration with legal and project teams.
  4. Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimize project profitability.
  5. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  6. Ensure adherence to local regulations and industry standards.
  7. Provide commercial reports, forecasts, and financial assessments to senior management.
  8. Support project teams in achieving budgetary and contractual targets.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial management within construction and consultancy sectors.
  3. Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and local regulations in the UAE.
  4. Proven track record in cost control, contract management, and dispute resolution.
  5. Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
  6. Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, CIOB) is a plus.
