Key Objectives

The Commercial Manager-Delivery will support a significant contract award within our Iraq operations, overseeing contract management tasks aligned with our FMF framework, focusing on managing contracts, risks, changes, monitoring returns, cash management, and supply chain.

This role requires robust commercial acumen, adaptability, and oversight capabilities.

Overarching focus - critical

You will act as the central commercial coordinator, ensuring activities align with strategic objectives. Collaboration with other departments will be essential to add value, foster collaboration, and uphold commercial integrity across the project lifecycle, ensuring resource efficiency and outcome optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Handover and Initial Setup: Lead structured handover processes from pre- to post-contract award, ensuring understanding of obligations and alignment with project budgets and schedules.
  2. Post-Award Contract Administration and Compliance: Establish and oversee procedures for contract compliance, manage contractual deliverables, and handle formal correspondence.

Risk Management

  1. Risk Handover: Document and communicate risks identified during earlier phases, ensuring mitigation strategies are embedded and understood.
  2. Ongoing Monitoring: Maintain risk registers, conduct reviews, and support proactive risk management with the project team.

Change Management

  1. Contractual Change Mechanisms: Understand and communicate change protocols, ensure compliance, and structure change orders to maximize entitlements.

Procurement and Subcontracting

  1. Flow Downs: Ensure third-party agreements comply with contractual obligations.

Financial and Cash Flow Management

  1. Cash Flow: Manage cash flow and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Project Monitoring and Reporting

  1. Performance Review: Attend reviews, evaluate metrics, and identify risks or opportunities.
  2. Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare reports on project performance, risks, and compliance.

Project Oversight and Supervision

  1. Team Supervision: Supervise Contracts Managers and lead as Contracts Manager on high-priority projects.

Commercial Closeout

  1. Closeout Processes: Manage project closeout activities and resolve claims and disputes.
