Job summary

MPH Consulting Services is seeking a Commercial Manager for an exciting opportunity in the UAE. The role involves overseeing contract management, supporting project teams, negotiating variations, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations. Ideal candidates will possess strong managerial skills in commercial procedures and must be proactive in contract administration.

Responsibilities

  • Provides appropriate support and guidance to the Project Manager and the project team for the effective management and administration of the Main Contract and interaction with the Client.
  • Conduct Contract Review Kick-off meeting with Project team to identify and communicate all Main Contract requirements and appropriate contract flow-downs to promote contract awareness and interpretation to support the project implementation.
  • Arrange and supervise all Contract project kick-off activities, including insurance certificates, bank guarantees, preparation of contract summary, contract required deliverables lists, flow down requirements, and responsibilities matrix, which are due in the first 30 (60) days of contract award.
  • Develop and implement all relevant project management contractual and commercial procedures, subcontracting procedures etc.
  • Manage and negotiate the Project Change/Variation requests.
  • Work with the project team in the identification, negotiation, and resolution of disputes or claims with Client, Subcontractors and Suppliers.
  • Work closely with the Project Lead Cost Engineer, Lead Planner to monitor the project cash flow status and cost trends to identify opportunities for revenue enhancement via negotiations with Client on the Payment Milestone achievement criteria and back-up documentation.
  • Prepare and/or review all Official correspondences and negotiations with EPCM/COMPANY, Subcontractors, Vendors.
  • Subcontracting management including Subcontractor Sourcing, PQ, SOI, NDA, Call for Bid preparation, issuance, tendering & clarifications, bids evaluation & negotiation, subcontractor nomination, subcontracts T&Cs negotiation, signing, subcontracts administration, close-out etc.
  • Maintain appropriate Contract records.
