Job summary

The role requires reading drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals; performing preventive maintenance; and coordinating with project managers and clients to schedule work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in installation, maintenance and servicing of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to read layouts, MEP drawings and equipment manuals with accuracy.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, drainage and gas connections for kitchen gear.
• Strong fault-finding in mechanical and electrical systems on site.
• Willingness to travel between project sites and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service commercial kitchen equipment per drawings and specs.

We’re Hiring – Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician & Installer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician & Installer to join our team in Dubai, UAE.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of commercial kitchen equipment across various project locations.

The technician will install commercial kitchen equipment in accordance with approved drawings, manufacturer specifications, safety requirements, and applicable local regulations. This includes equipment positioning, layout adjustments, anchoring, utility connections, testing, and commissioning.

The role also involves carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to service calls, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, inspecting equipment for performance and safety, and documenting service and maintenance activities.

The technician will coordinate with project managers, clients, site teams, and vendors to schedule installation and maintenance activities and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

Additional responsibilities include providing basic training to kitchen staff on equipment operation and care, maintaining an organized inventory of tools and spare parts, and ensuring compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements, and food-service hygiene standards.

Key Requirements

• 5 years and above of hands-on experience in commercial kitchen equipment installation, maintenance, and servicing
• Strong experience in the installation, setup, testing, and commissioning of commercial kitchen equipment
• Strong equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance skills for commercial kitchen equipment
• Ability to accurately read and interpret kitchen layouts, MEP drawings, technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, drainage, and gas connections associated with commercial kitchen equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to safely use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools
• Experience inspecting and servicing commercial kitchen equipment
• Strong adherence to health, safety, and food-service hygiene standards
• Ability to work independently on-site and coordinate effectively with project teams, and clients
• Good teamwork, communication, organization, and coordination skills
• Ability to maintain proper service reports and maintenance records
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory
• Flexible and willing to travel to different project and service locations as required
