Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly P&L reports segmented by route, depot, region, SKU, category, customer, customer class, and channel.
- Provide deep insights into financial performance with granular analysis to highlight areas requiring immediate attention.
- Develop and maintain monthly rolling forecasts by SKU and category, aligned with the NSM and GM.
- Use historical trends and budget data to challenge stakeholders and validate assumptions for accuracy.
- Identify margin improvement opportunities through analysis of van utilization, product mix, drop size ratios, pricing, discounts, and wastage.
- Conduct detailed reviews of cost drivers and propose actions for optimization.
- Pinpoint high-wastage areas and define KPIs to reduce wastage below budgeted levels.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the Fresh business model, including customer classification, call plans, and drop sizes, to address challenges effectively.
- Prepare detailed annual volume and overhead budgets by SKU, route, depot, region, customer, channel, and customer class.
- Justify overhead budgets by GL account.
- Track and analyze marketing and trade marketing expenses versus ROI.
- Monitor promotions, discounts, and trade offers daily/weekly/monthly to ensure objectives are met.
- For key accounts, set outlet-level promotional targets using breakeven analysis and follow up on achievement.
- Evaluate SKU performance (volume, value, margin) by region and route to recommend discontinuation where necessary.
- Provide closing estimates by SKU/route/depot/region showing volumes, revenues, and margins using MTD data to forecast full-month performance.
- Perform value chain analysis for new/existing products and promotions.
- Track innovation performance, identify gaps, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
- 4 years of financial analysis and modeling experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Hands-on experience on JDE Edwards Oracle software.
- Hands-on experience in the fresh FMCG business and knowledge of BI tools.
