Commercial Finance Manager - META

We are currently seeking a Commercial Finance Manager for the META region. This permanent position will report to the Finance Director – China, India & META.

The primary focus of the role is to assist in providing monthly sales and P&L reporting, budget/forecast preparation, and supporting ad-hoc projects to drive growth in the region.

Commercial Finance Lead

• Work with the Sales Team in the annual customer negotiation.
• Analyze channel & customer profitability, understanding the key levers and supporting the business in driving profitability.
• Maintain all legal agreements with list and signed copies (Athletes, Customers, others).
• Assist in preparing ROI calculations for commercial spends – marketing & trade spend.
• Prepare and maintain various value chain analyses for different channels of trade.
• Handle NPD costing and profitability analysis.
• Manage month-end closing activities for the business.
• Support the marketing team in managing their spends and assessing ROI.
• Control overheads for the META entity.

Budget / Forecast

• Manage the budget/forecast cycle for the META entity.
• Coordinate with the commercial and marketing teams in the region to gather sales forecast details, marketing expenses, and overhead plans.
• Assess risks and opportunities continuously with the business.
• Ensure all initiatives planned in the budget are on track.

Customer Trade Spend Management

Ensure timely and accurate claim settlements:

• Review and process claims from national distributors/customers for FDM, specialty, and online channels.
• Conduct periodic reconciliation and manage no dues process.
• Monitor sales order and CPT balances against budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare and distribute monthly commercial analysis packs to the team.
• Track actual expenses against budgets, analyze variances.
• Reconcile legal entities monthly and compare with budgets and forecasts.
• Collaborate with EMEA controls team to ensure compliance with provisioning and accounting processes.
• Support local compliance reporting such as ESR, statutory audits, etc.

The Skills You Will Bring to the Team

• Qualified accountant with 7-8 years of post-degree experience in MNC CPG or large distribution companies.
• Experience in commercial finance and accounting practices.
• Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking) with effective communication skills.
• Experience working with SAP financial planning, analysis, and reporting tools.
• Hands-on operator capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and outcome orientation.
• Sound accounting, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent analytical abilities to identify and solve complex problems, drawing conclusions from real-time data analysis.
