Group Commercial Director Salary: 95-110,000 AED Per Month Plus Flights & Medical

Role Overview

We are seeking a Group Commercial Director to lead the business. Based 10 minutes’ drive from Dubai Mall, you will be responsible for the commercial & contractual performance of projects across all 7 Emirates in the UAE. You will work alongside and report to the General Manager, involved in ensuring the business is profitable, successful, and maintains a reputation for quality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Handle multiple project teams and external stakeholders
  2. Lead the commercial performance of a buildings main contracting group
  3. Operate at a strategic level, dealing with Board representatives
  4. Manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans
  5. Provide commercial and contractual advice
  6. Innovate in procurement, frameworks, and partnership agreements
  7. Support tender and bid activities
  8. Review pre-contract documentation to identify risks and liabilities
  9. Negotiate contract terms as necessary
  10. Develop and implement commercial strategies
  11. Assist in legal disputes with law firms
  12. Manage all commercial processes and ensure compliance
  13. Oversee forecast reporting, budgets, and plans
  14. Draft and negotiate joint venture and consortium agreements
Candidate Requirements
  1. 20+ years of post-graduate experience
  2. Strong knowledge of the UAE supply chain, clients, and environment
  3. Tier 1 buildings experience with a main contractor (not client or developer)
  4. Experience with claims, arbitration, and project lifecycle in the UAE
  5. Input, strategy, and guidance from pre-construction to final accounts
  6. Extensive knowledge of FIDIC contracts
  7. BSc Quantity Surveying from a Western university
  8. LLM in Construction Law and Arbitration
  9. MRICS / MCIArb qualification
  10. Calm, measured, and focused approach
  11. Strong people skills and communication abilities
