Job description

The instructor will be expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, demonstrating cultural awareness and sensitivity in all interactions.

It is expected that you will have awareness of cultural values, norms and sensitivities prior to commencement of the role

The role requires engagement with military personnel and adherence to professional military training standards

Flexibility may be required for training schedules, locations, and operational demands

The ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive training environments is essential

Combat Medic/EMT/Paramedic.

Previous military operational experience.

Previous instructor experience, preferably in a military medical training environment.

Currency of knowledge in military medical protocols, clinical guidelines, and relevant training methodologies to ensure the highest standard of instruction.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills (in English).

Demonstrable cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly in diverse learning environments.

High level of professionalism and ability to represent the organization consistently and effectively.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and structured environment.

TCCC/PHTLS/ACLS/BLS Instructor

Recognized teaching or instructor qualification

Experience with scenario-based training and hi-fidelity simulation.

Deliver military medical training to personnel in line with course requirements and operational needs.

Employ evidence-based instructional methodologies, including simulation-based training, to enhance student competency in applying essential skills.

Design and facilitate realistic, scenario-based training to replicate operational environments and reinforce practical application.

Ensure all necessary equipment and training materials are prepared, available, and in optimal condition ahead of scheduled training sessions to facilitate seamless instruction and operational efficiency.

Adapt teaching methods to accommodate varied learning styles and cultural considerations.

Support the design, development and refinement of course content as needed.

Assist with written and verbal assessments when directed on any course provided within the contract.

Provide instructor cover on any course as required to ensure minimal disruption to course delivery.

Maintain a professional and culturally sensitive approach when engaging with students and colleagues.

Ensure course materials are up-to-date and reflect current best practices, military medical guidelines, and operational requirements.

Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.

Maintain accurate training records and assist with course administration when required.

Identify and escalate potential risks or threats to the course delivery through the established chain of command.

Perform any additional instructional or administrative duties as required by the role/organization.
