Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Develop and write CNC programs for lathes, mills, and other CNC machines using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidCAM, Fusion 360).
• Select and set up appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Simulate and test programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency before production.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production staff to refine designs and improve processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot CNC programs to resolve machining issues or improve cycle time and part quality.
• Maintain documentation for programs, tooling setup, and quality checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all phases of production.
• Train and support machine operators as needed.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field (preferred).
• 5+years of experience in CNC programming of milling machines and turning machines
• Requires time served on programming 5 Axis machines (MAZAK) Turn mill (DMG Mori).
• Requires time served on programming / setting operating Multi Axis CNC lathes.
• Strong background in programming complex 5 Axis details in hard and soft metals.
• Experience of working multiple machines like VMC, Turn mill Turning Centre.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Good Knowledge of Engineering drawing reading
• Knowledge of latest Tooling and its cutting parameters
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other engineers
• Awareness of ISO standards like QMS, EMS, EHS
• Should be able to work in different shift
