Job Description

• Manage the CNC Lathe to ensure consistent product performance and tool management in lathe and milling work.
• Regular and systematic template checks to ensure tight dimensional tolerances are met.
• Grinding & Buffing of Rolls.
• Tooling Knowledge of CNC machines.
• Basic Daily Routine Maintenance of CNC Machines.
• To be able to select proper programme for the job to be machined.
• Ability to make changes or rectifications in the machining programme as per job requirements.
• Selection of proper tools and accessories for the job.
• Knowledge of tool grinding when the tools get worn out.
• Able to read drawings and make simple machining programmes.
• Periodical inspection of the machines, by checking oil, bedplates, X, axis and Z axis screw spindles.
• Reporting any abnormalities in the machine to the supervisor.
• Maintaining Roll cards for tonnage rolled.
• Able to carry out work in the Notch milling and Branding machines.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC operation is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining or a related field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics with precision.
• Thorough knowledge on Roll material characteristics and Roll dressing requirements for Heavy/Medium Sections.
• Thorough knowledge on CNC Lathe & Milling Machines.
• Basic knowledge on Roll shop Operations.
• Good knowledge on mill automation.
• Good knowledge of reversing heavy sections or heavy plate mills.
• Good command of English.
• Computer literate with Word Processing and Spreadsheet experience.
