Job Summary
Operating and setting up CNC machines for turning and threading, generating CNC programs using predefined programs. Performing cutting and inspection for API, Grant Prideco, Tenaris, JFE connections.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC machines for turning and threading. Generate CNC programs using predefined templates. Conduct cutting and inspection for API, Grant Prideco, Tenaris, JFE connections. Use measuring equipment, perform basic maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Follow all safety policies provided by NOV.
- Produce/machine threaded connections and parts according to provided drawings and programs.
- Inspect and verify that each thread and part meet specifications.
- Follow guidelines provided by the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Care for, use, and protect all company equipment. Follow all safety rules.
- Perform daily machine checks before operation to identify risks.
- Verify specifications, work orders, drawings, materials, and programs.
- Manufacture parts within the given time frame.
- Report problems to the supervisor.
- Maintain traceability and inspection reports.
- Follow shop rules as advised by supervisors.
- Report unsafe acts or hazardous conditions to management.
- Report damaged or misused equipment, gauges, fixtures, and instruments.
- Assist with training when required.
Education & Experience Required
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating CNC machines, particularly on Rotatory Shoulder connections (API, Grant Prideco, Tenaris, Vam, etc.), or similar background.
- Ability to communicate in English and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Preferably knowledgeable about Mazak controls and operations. Ability to read and understand CNC programs and identify tooling from programs. Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Good machine shop knowledge and ability to interpret specifications to API, Grant Prideco, D51, Vam, etc.
