CNC Machinist

A CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. They interpret blueprints, program machines, and adjust settings to ensure the proper functioning of equipment. The machinist also verifies dimensions and performs quality checks on finished parts. They must adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications.
2. Program machines using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
3. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
4. Adjust machine settings to control factors such as cutting speed and depth.
5. Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments.
6. Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
7. Troubleshoot issues with machines and perform routine maintenance.
8. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.

Minimum Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Proficiency in operating CNC machines.
3. Knowledge of CAM software and programming.
4. Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawings.
5. Attention to detail and precision in work.
6. Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team.
