CNC Machine Operator

For executing CNC machine jobs for steelworks and other assigned tasks according to specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities:

1. Read Nesting plans and cutting programs issued by production Engineering team to determine job instructions.
2. Ensure those jobs (i.e., CNC machine operation) are carried out as per the schedule given by supervisor.
3. Before commencement of machinery operations, carry out pre-start inspection of equipment, completion of checklists and report any identified abnormality.
4. Conduct risk assessment within areas of operation (such as take 5) and ensure that risk (risk probability and consequence) is well understood and eliminated or controlled for the job and work area, working closely with supervision to ensure that operations activities are sanctioned.
5. Perform the CNC machine operation (plate and profile cutting) as per the guidelines and by following all safety precautions.
6. Ensure work area preparation and housekeeping are completed safely and diligently.
7. Follow quality, safety, and environment in accordance with the requirement of the integrated Management System Manual.
8. Raise hazard report regularly as per Company Technology Solutions policy.
9. Contribute ideas for improvement to the employee suggestion scheme.
10. Prioritize wellbeing of themselves and their colleagues while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. Adhere to all health & safety protocols, participate in wellbeing & wellness programs, and promptly report any concerns regarding the wellbeing of oneself & others in order to foster a culture of best practice.
11. Perform other duties or assignments as directed.
12. Tasks must be completed efficiently and safely. All work must adhere to high-quality and auditable standards consistent with the company's integrated management systems (OMS) and policies.
