CMDB Solutions Architect - Abu Dhabi - 1 Year

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CMDB Solutions Architect to lead the design, integration, and implementation of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) initiative. This role will transform our CMDB into a robust, scalable, and integrated system within ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus to support IT Service Management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of the CMDB within ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus, aligning with ITIL v4 and organizational standards.
  • Review and assess current inventory lists, identifying gaps and inconsistencies to address in the implementation.
  • Define and implement improvements to CI classification, relationships, attributes, and lifecycle management.
  • Define and implement IT and Business Services, mapping CI relationships.
  • Collaborate with technical experts across infrastructure, networking, clinical applications, engineering, asset management, and information security to identify key data sources.
  • Integrate the CMDB with available network discovery tools to support automated discovery and CI updates.
  • Develop and maintain CMDB governance procedures, including data quality management, change control, and audit readiness.
  • Provide hands-on configuration and scripting within ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus as necessary.
  • Lead data cleansing and normalization efforts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of CIs.

Qualifications

  • CMDB Experience : Proven experience with CMDB in ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus.
  • IT Service Management : At least 5 years of experience, with 3 years focused on CMDB.
  • ITIL Knowledge : Strong understanding of ITIL practices.
  • Integration Skills : Experience integrating CMDBs with discovery tools.
  • Analytical Skills : Ability to translate technical requirements into CMDB configurations.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
