Overview:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing strategic marketing initiatives that enhance the visibility, reputation, and profitability of the cluster of hotels, each representing distinct brands and identities. The Marketing Manager will have a strong background in hospitality marketing with proven experience in social media strategy, digital campaigns, and brand management and differentiation. This role requires balancing time and synergies alongside tailored strategies for each hotel.
Role and Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement annual and quarterly marketing plans for each hotel within the cluster, aligned with commercial goals and brand positioning.
- Align marketing strategies with revenue goals to support total revenue budget.
- Formulate robust B2B and B2C strategies by segment for each hotel working with revenue, distribution and sales team.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Maintain a calendar of brand and tactical campaigns and manage the execution to support the cluster in achieving revenue targets, leveraging key functions like Digital Marketing, Marketing Operations, Strategic Partnerships, and third-party distribution.
- Lead regular planning sessions with revenue, sales, and operations teams to align on campaign priorities, promotional calendars, and market trends.
- Conduct SWOT analyses and competitive benchmarking to refine strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Finalise Marketing Budget and manage spend.
Social Media & Content Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive social media strategy for the rooms and outlets, focusing on growing audience reach, engagement, and brand visibility across platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
- Use platform insights and audience analytics to refine content types, posting schedules, and community engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with influencers and creators who align with each hotel’s target market and brand ethos.
Data Analytics & Insights
- In conjunction with E-Commerce Manager, analyze performance data across digital, social, and offline channels to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.
- Measure and evaluate the success of all marketing activities, promotions, and campaigns.
- Monitor key KPIs including ROAS, conversion rates, website traffic, engagement rates, CRM growth, campaign performance, and OTA visibility.
- Use data to segment audiences, personalize messaging, and optimize customer journeys across platforms.
- Generate and present monthly and quarterly performance reports by hotel and by campaign, highlighting KPIs, insights, learnings, and optimizations.
- Provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders based on data analysis and market trends.
Revenue Collaboration & Forecasting
- Partner closely with revenue management to align marketing initiatives with rate strategies, booking windows, and seasonal trends.
- Assist in creating demand generation plans for low periods and strategic campaigns to boost RevPAR, direct bookings, and ancillary revenue.
Loyalty
- Review brand campaign opportunities and ensure participation where relevant.
Content:
- Act as the brand champion, ensuring all collateral aligns with brand standards, complies with corporate guidelines, and operates within budget across all marketing activities.
- Curate and manage a content calendar that aligns with marketing campaigns, F&B activations, and seasonal offers, ensuring timely and visually compelling posts.
- Collaborate with departments to create original, on-brand content that showcases key hotel experiences, promotions, events, and guest stories.
- Audit content across key channels to ensure reflect hotel identities and USPs.
Relationships:
- Liaise with brand teams to leverage opportunities to showcase hotels on brand channels.
- Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to develop compelling campaigns.
- Build and maintain relationships with agencies
Beat The Competition
- Gather market intelligence and track and monitor competitor performance.
- Analyze guest sentiment across all hotel and competitive landscape and identify opportunities to enhance content through storytelling and hotel unique selling points.
- Monitor online reviews and public perception of the hotel to gathering insights to incorporate into marketing initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
- Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively participate in all staff meetings, departmental and hotel training sessions, online marketing training programs, and other related activities.
- Share information and updates with key stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Adhere strictly to company rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in hotel marketing department.
- Computer literate and proficient across Microsoft and design packages: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Dreamweaver and Flash is a plus.
- Fluent in English; any other additional language skills especially Arabic is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven track record of delivering successful Marketing campaigns.
- Creative eye for design and content aesthetics, with experience working with design and production teams.
- Detail-oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strategic thinking & self-starter. Must be able to work with others to solve complex problems and take the initiative to see and define new opportunities and put plans in place to exploit them.
