Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Azure security solutions, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Security Center.
  • Develop and enforce security best practices, policies, and compliance standards within Azure environments.
  • Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Azure AD, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Implement and manage security controls, such as Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and DDoS Protection.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats using SIEM solutions, threat intelligence, and automated alerting.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Automate security operations using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects, networking teams, and DevOps engineers to integrate security solutions seamlessly.
  • Implement incident response plans and security remediation strategies.
  • Maintain security documentation, policies, and operational procedures to support audits and compliance efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud security or cybersecurity with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong expertise in Azure security services, including Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Azure AD Security.
  • Experience with cloud security frameworks, identity governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Strong understanding of Zero Trust security models, identity-based security, and network segmentation.
  • Experience with security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response in cloud environments.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills are required for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for security incidents and vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to document security policies, incident reports, and operational procedures clearly.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with multi-cloud security strategies, including Azure and OCI.
  • Familiarity with container security, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and security service management best practices.
  • Experience with penetration testing, ethical hacking, and security auditing.
  • Strong understanding of data encryption, key management, and cloud security architecture.
