The Cloud Security Engineer will own and continuously improve security posture across AWS and Azure platforms by embedding protection into architecture, delivery pipelines, operations, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance cloud security posture across AWS and Azure environments.
• Identify cloud vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, access risks, and policy gaps, then coordinate remediation with technical teams.
• Perform threat modelling for cloud workloads, platform services, integrations, and deployment patterns.
• Implement preventative and detective security controls to reduce exposure across cloud environments.
• Respond to cloud security incidents, support investigations, analyze escalations, and assist with containment and recovery actions.
• Implement governance controls including cloud policies, RBAC, least‑privilege access, and secure identity practices.
• Define and maintain secure cloud architecture patterns, baseline configurations, and platform security standards.
• Partner with cloud engineering and operations teams to embed security into pipelines, workflows, and operational processes.
• Review cloud designs, access models, network configurations, and workload security controls for alignment with standards.
• Use cloud‑native security tools and posture management platforms to monitor risks, findings, and compliance status.
• Communicate risks, impacts, and recommended actions clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Promote a security approach that enables delivery teams while maintaining accountability, confidentiality, and strong control discipline.

• Proven experience in cloud security engineering across AWS and Azure platforms.
• Strong knowledge of identity, access management, RBAC, least‑privilege access, governance, and security monitoring.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native security tools and cloud security posture management.
• Practical understanding of vulnerability management, remediation planning, threat modelling, and incident response.
• Ability to define secure cloud architecture patterns and configuration standards.
