Job summary

EPG Ehrhardt Partner Group is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, operate and enhance our cloud platform (PaaS/SaaS). You will automate infrastructure with Ansible, manage Linux cloud environments, and deploy workloads across on‑prem and Microsoft Azure using Docker and Kubernetes.

You will configure networking, optimize performance, and ensure security and reliability while contributing to cross‑team knowledge sharing and documentation. Fluency in English is required; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with relevant work experience.
• Experience administering Linux-based cloud environments and highly available infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for workloads across Azure and on‑prem environments.
• Understanding of Kubernetes networking and Azure networking and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Software Defined Storage, preferably Ceph.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate the EPG Cloud focusing on PaaS/SaaS offerings.
• Administer highly available Linux-based cloud environments for performance and capacity.
• Automate infrastructure and processes using Ansible and orchestration tools.
• Deploy workloads across on‑premises and Microsoft Azure with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Configure Kubernetes and Azure networking, ensure secure cloud connectivity.
• Manage Ceph storage to support scalable, resilient infrastructure.
• Implement monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana and CheckMK to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate solutions into the EPG Cloud.
• Create technical docs and contribute to training and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with cloud tech and develop cross‑product innovations.
