Job summary

Create Recruitment Specialists Ltd. in Dubai seeks an experienced Garment Technologist to own the technical development process from concept to bulk production, ensuring fit, construction, quality, and compliance.

You will lead fit sessions, create Tech Packs and BOMs, manage critical path samples, and resolve issues with overseas factories while collaborating with Design, Production, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

Job description

Create Recruitment are partnering with an exciting Dubai-based lifestyle brand to recruit an experienced Garment Technologist to join their Product team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically strong product professional to take ownership of the technical development process from concept through to bulk production, ensuring products meet the highest standards of fit, construction, quality, functionality, manufacturability and compliance.

The role will involve managing product development and technical execution, creating and maintaining accurate Tech Packs, BOMs, grading and technical documentation, as well as managing sample development and critical paths to ensure products launch on time. You will lead fit sessions, evaluate samples and provide clear technical comments to factories, while working closely with suppliers and overseas manufacturers to resolve technical and production issues. You will also support fabric and trim development, product testing, quality control, compliance and continuous improvement, working collaboratively with Design, Product Development, Production, Planning, Quality and Merchandising teams.

To apply, you must have strong technical experience across jersey and knitted products, within either menswear or womenswear. Kidswear experience would be highly desirable. You will ideally have 5+ years' technical experience within a leading retailer or supplier, with a strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, grading, fit and manufacturing. Proven experience creating technical packs, conducting fit sessions and working with overseas manufacturers throughout the product development and bulk production lifecycle is essential.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised, commercially minded and solutions-focused, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience with PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator would be advantageous.
