Job summary

NMC GROUP SERVICES in Dubai seeks a licensed clinical psychologist to conduct psychiatric interviews, collect data for diagnosis, and provide individual, group, and family therapies. The role includes psychometric testing, research, and community advisory work, with after-hours availability as needed.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology, have at least 2 years of clinical experience, and possess DOH licensure for Dubai. English fluency is essential; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical psychology experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical ethics with regard to confidentiality.
• Working knowledge of intelligence, achievement, interest, personality tests and measuring devices.
• Current licensure to practice in Dubai, UAE (DOH) and licensure from country of origin.
• Excellent command of oral and written English; Arabic knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychiatric interviews and collects data for diagnostic purposes.
• Provides various psychotherapies (individual, group, family).
• Offers counseling for couples with marital conflicts.
• Uses behavioral methods to plan therapy frequency, intensity, and duration.
• Performs psychometric testing for diagnosis and evaluation of therapy.
• Engages in research and educational activities to improve mental health methods.
• Keeps current with ideas in personality development, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental disorders.
• Provides advice to community organizations and participates in welfare activities.
• Takes after-hours or weekend calls as required by cases or emergencies.
• Performs related duties as assigned by the Chief Psychiatrist.
