Job summary

Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates seeks a psychologist to provide care for patients with psychological difficulties, delivering independent and high-quality assessments and intervention plans in collaboration with medical teams.

The role requires 5+ years in clinical psychology, 2+ years in psychotherapy with various age groups, and a strong foundation in psychopathology, assessment and intervention planning. A DOH Abu Dhabi license is preferred.

Required Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in the field of clinical psychology, dealing with cases of psychopathology, in a clinical setting. Training can be counted if a valid training certificate in a recognized institution was submitted
• Minimum 2 years experience in conducting psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, paediatric and/or geriatric patients
• Stronghold of psychopathology diagnosis, assessment and intervention plans

Desired

• Further knowledge in, experience with and exposure to different clinical settings, cases, populations and intervention techniques

Educational Qualification

• Minimum of a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology plus 5 years experience in a clinical setting
• Currently licensed as Clinical Psychologist by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi
• A PhD in Clinical Psychology or other related clinical specialty is desirable
