Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate of training in an approved Phlebotomy program or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Minimum of 1 year practical experience as Phlebotomist in a reputable Medical Laboratory.
• Currently licensed in country of origin and with DOH/DHA/MOH license to practice in UAE.
• Fluent in spoken & written English; Arabic language is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform Blood Draws and collect blood specimens using venipuncture, capillary or fingerstick methods.
• Verify patient identity and ensure correct labeling of samples to avoid errors.
• Prepare and maintain equipment; ensure sterility and proper functioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow infection control protocols.
• Record and document patient information and procedures accurately.
• Transport samples safely to laboratories for analysis.
• Follow safety protocols including handling and disposal of biohazard materials.
• Communicate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate results.
