Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collecting blood from patients in a professional manner following established techniques and safety standards.
• Performing venipuncture procedures with accuracy.
• Labeling specimens accurately with patient information.
• Following established safety protocols when handling needles and sharps containers.
• Maintaining accurate records of specimens collected.
• Performing quality control checks on equipment used for collection of specimens.
• Assisting with other duties as needed in the laboratory.
