Job description

Position Overview :

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer – Acute and Ambulatory Care Services (DCNO), the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) – Coronary Care Unit serves as a clinical expert, educator, and leader in delivering specialized nursing care to critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions. This advanced practice role collaborates with the medical Head of Cardiology, combining direct patient care, staff development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice implementation.

Clinical Expertise and Patient Care

1. Provide advanced clinical assessment, intervention, and evaluation for complex cardiac patients in the Critical Care setting.
2. Serve as a clinical expert in managing pre-operative and post-operative critical care interventions specific to cardiac patients.
3. Develop and implement specialised care protocols for high-risk cardiac patients and conditions.
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and care coordination.
5. Provide direct patient care in complex cases and serve as a resource for challenging clinical situations.

Education & Qualification

1. UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA)
2. Bachelor’s degree in nursing
3. Master's degree or Post Graduate Certification in Cardiac / Cardiovascular Nursing

Experience

1. Minimum 5 years coronary care nursing experience.
2. Advanced knowledge of cardiac disease processes.
