Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi LLC is seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist to evaluate patient needs and develop holistic treatment plans in acute care or outpatient settings.

The role requires reviewing medical histories, setting goals, educating patients and families, and implementing evidence-based exercise therapy while documenting outcomes and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science (Preferred).
• 3–5 years experience in acute care hospitals or outpatient rehabilitation facilities.
• 2+ years post-graduate experience as Sports Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs and formulate a holistic treatment plan.
• Review patient history, test results, and imaging reports.
• Establish treatment goals and plan based on findings and goals.
• Educate patients and families on functional status and discharge details.
• Administer treatment programs using evidence-based techniques for biomechanics and wellbeing.
• Monitor patient status and revise plans as needed, coordinating with health professionals.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine best outcomes.
• Document information in patient records per hospital standards.
• Ensure clinical outcomes meet departmental and institutional demands.
• Achieve productivity metrics for Exercise Physiology.
• Supervise students on clinical rotations and staff development.
• Work within scope of practice and continuous improvement.
