Clinical Application Specialist- Health Information Systems

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Due to business growth, we are looking for a Clinical Application Specialist to join us in Dubai. The role is Hybrid and will require onsite presence around once per week. In this role you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

1. Ensuring Solventum’s solution put in place aligns with both the end-user requirements as well as the business objectives behind the project, based on the expertise of Solventum’s solution and deep understanding of the customer’s documentation workflows/requirements.
2. Leading clinical workflow discovery and design discussions, to capture configuration specification, training requirements and identify opportunities for workflow and user experience improvements.
3. Configuring and testing systems/clinical workflows during project implementation by following a process that includes requirement intake, documentation maintenance, test plan creation, end-to-end testing, user acceptance testing, and necessary configuration amendments to meet customer requirements.
4. Leading training and user engagement activities by delivering demos and presentations, creating a training strategy and plan, customizing training material, providing train-the-trainer sessions, and offering end-user training and go-live support both remotely and on-site.
5. Supporting project delivery as the Subject Matter Expert and being the link between Solventum and the end users.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

1. High Level Education in Medical Sciences or Education of Adults or equivalent through experience.
2. Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Management, or a related domain with a strong affinity for technology; or equivalent qualifications through experience.
3. Experience in Healthcare / Healthcare IT / Health Information Management.
4. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) clinical workflows, clinical documentation, and familiarity with Cerner, Epic, Meditech, TrakCare or any other main EMR systems.
5. Experience in training clinicians (planning and delivery).
6. Experience in software implementation and change management projects in general.
7. Experience in creating customer facing product documentation such as quick reference guides, training videos, demo collateral etc.
8. Experience with functional testing and user acceptance testing.
9. Ability to travel to customer sites as required.
10. Ability to work independently (mainly from home) and as part of a team.
11. Current, valid Driver’s License.

Work location:

1. Hybrid (the role will require onsite presence in Dubai once per week).
2. Travel to customers (Hospitals, doctors, nurses coders) is necessary and will be up to 50% domestic and international (i.e. Saudi Arabia).
3. This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
