Cleaner
Job description
- Clean and maintain residential and commercial job sites before, during, and after painting work.
- Ensure all surfaces are free from dust, debris, or contaminants prior to painting.
- Assist with setting up and protecting work areas (e.g., laying down floor coverings, taping off trim, covering furniture).
- Dispose of paint materials, masking, and waste responsibly and in line with safety standards.
- Keep tools, brushes, buckets, and other equipment clean and ready for use.
- Maintain an organized and clutter-free work environment for painters and clients.
- Report any safety hazards or issues to the site supervisor.
- Support painters with basic prep and post-job cleaning tasks.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Experience: Prior cleaning or construction site experience is a plus, but not mandatory—we’re happy to train the right person.
- Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Attention to Detail: Notices the little things that others might miss.
- Team Player: Works well with others and takes direction when needed.
- Physical Requirements: Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 15kg, and work in varied environments.
- Attitude: Positive, respectful, and ready to pitch in wherever needed.
