Qualifications

• Experience providing academic support in a classroom setting.
• Ability to deliver group instruction and individual assistance as directed by teachers.
• Capability to demonstrate instructional activities and monitor pupil progress.
• Experience recording pupil work and maintaining accurate records.
• Strong classroom management and ability to keep pupils on task.
• Support for behaviour policy implementation and promoting pupil self-esteem.
• Duties include attendance monitoring and end-of-day materials reorganising.
• Communicate with teachers about pupil progress and needs.
• Collaborate with specialists (speech, occupational) as required.
• Attend meetings and support school safety and health policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils or groups to enable participation in activities.
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes and monitor progress.
• Support pupils with additional needs and help develop social skills.
• Assist teachers with maintaining pupil records and preparing displays.
• Support teachers with photocopying and other administrative tasks.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements and school policies.
• Set a good example in dress, punctuality and attendance.
• Attend team and staff meetings as required.
• Collaborate with other professionals as necessary.
• Undertake other duties as requested by the principal.
