Aldar Education are seeking a UAE National Classroom Assistant for Yasmina American School in Abu Dhabi, starting in November 2025. The role supports pupils inside and outside the classroom and collaborates with teachers to foster an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• For UAE Nationals.
• To have a minimum attested secondary school certificate / Diploma / Degree.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Classroom Assistant / Inclusion Assistant.
• Experience working with students whose English is not their first language.
• Commitment to safeguarding, professionalism and well-being of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for individual pupils/groups inside and outside the classroom to enable participation in activities and wellbeing.
• Be pro-active in matters relating to health and safety.
• Assist in implementing individual education programmes and monitor progress.
• Support pupils with additional needs and help develop social skills.
• Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records.
• Prepare and present displays of pupils’ work.
• Support teachers with photocopying and other tasks to support teaching.
• Comply with health and safety requirements and school policies; set a good example.
• Attend team and staff meetings as required.
• Work with other professionals (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists) when necessary.
• Undertake other duties as required by the principal.
